Among all the treasures that the mankind has evolved with,
one of the most precious and worthy is Nature. All the stable elements upon
which our chemistry is based, all the physical world that comprises our physics
are all part of Nature.
One can define nature as an ocean full of gems. Mankind has,
from the early stone age itself, relied upon these auspicious gems to fulfil
their desires. Be it the early crude weapons composed of wood and stones to the
today’s silicon chips. Mankind has nature to reach the moon and now even Mars.
But, in true words, Nature is not what we see it today.
People, rather than using it, have exploited it. Many natural life-cycles, many
biomes, and now even the peaceful sky is tremored of the devastations of the
mankind. William Shakespeare had once said,
Nature has its own pace, And challenging it yields no
good !
Thus Nature rather than being a savoir, like the Ozone, has
turned into a havoc, like the melting glaciers. According to research group Climate
Central, "unabated carbon emissions up to the year 2100 would
commit an eventual global sea-level rise of 4.3–9.9 meters” And coastal
cities worldwide will be the first ones to experience the aftermath. It must be
noted that Mumbai, the financial capital of India, and our hometown, in
drowning into the Arabian Sea at a rate quite high for us to even think of. All
thanks to all the internet surfers across the globe, which now-a-days is the
most influencing mode of carbon emission. We have all definitely heard of Earth
being a ball of fire. When nature made
it inhabitable to us hope, the mankind doesn’t revert the past.
